World Food Programme(WFP):


     It has been providing food for asistance to nepal since 1967. Its country programme includes Food for Education;Mother and Children Health Care:Rural Community insfrastructure Work and Food asistance to Bhutanees refugees.

UN Mission in Nepal(UNMIN):

It works for the peace process of nepal as the special mission of UN Secretary General. It is political mission in nepal .It is the mission establised by the UN for the peace process of nepal after the peace agreement between Government and Maiosts

United Nations Developmnt Fund for Women(UNIFEM):


 It focuses on activities on the areas of :Reducing Feminized Poverty and Exclision;Promoting Women’s Human Rights.

International Union for Conservation for Nature(IUCN):

     It is concerned with the conservation of environment. It aims at promoting conservation of nature using people’s skill and proficiency. It  cooperates to solves environmental problems.

United Nation Development Programme(UNDP):


   It advocates for change. It  links countries for knowledge experience and resources to help people bulid a better life. Its main areas for co operation in Nepal are:Democracy Governance ,Poverty Reduction ,Crisis Prevention and Recovery,Energy and Environment and HIV/AIDS.

The United Nation Population Fund(UNFPA):

It contributes to raise higher quality of life for the nepali people by promoting improved  reproductive health and balance between population dynamics and socio-economic development

United Nation Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation


     It provides the technical asistance to support the educaton for all and the preservation of both tangible and intangible cultural heritages; area  information communication technology  for community development.

United nation Children Funds(UNICEF):

It works for those children whose future are endangered by poverty ,diseases malnutrion and lack of education.

Food and agriculture organisation(FAO):


  It provides to raise levels of nutrition and standards of living,to improve agricultural productivity,to better the condition of rural population,crop diversification,vegetable production empowerment of of women and so on.

World Health Organisation(WHO):


   It provides support in the areas of health such as communicable diseases ,non communcable cable diseases and mental health family and community health ,sustainable development and healthy environment.

UNITED NATION (UN) AGENCIES IN NEPAL


The UN was estabilished immediately after the second world war to maintain  the international peace ,mutal co operation and international prosperity. In order to fulfill their objective several agencies of UN are working  in the world.
